Warm and Foggy

Postby David » Fri Dec 15, 2006 8:01 am

It's been so warm it feels more like dove or spring turkey season than duck season. Not to mention the fog that has moved in since the cool weather left us last week. I've never had much luck in the fog for open water hunts. Looks like if I can get away from the house we might try going up the river somewhere. Good luck all.

I had an awsome diver hunt in the fog one morning, about 30 bluebills were 10 yards out before they came into site. Made for a real quick hunt! We have a spot that they are coming to regardless of fog or weather though.

saturday mornin we went to guntersville lake, we couldn't see more then 30 feet in front of us....literally...but my gps saved the day, those things are definetly worth the money, not a good hunt though, all we got was a ringneck and a hen widgeon

Hunted Sunday, still warm, no fog - 2 guns/5 ringneck ducks (one lost) - would of done better if I will ever learn to shoot.
