michigander in alabama in nov for duck need info

i will be in athens alabama for thanksgiving would like to get some duck hunting in i have a boat blind (16 ft) and will be on the tennessee river do i need my boat, and should i stick to the wma's any info would be great also my time is limited does anyone have any guids to recomend. all i've been able to find are outfitters on private land with there own "wild raised ducks" and i dont want that i am a avid **** **** so any info on wild quail would be great please help me out :help:

Waterfowl guides are few and far between in Bama due to us not having a strong duck population. A true wild quail hunt is also hard to come by here due to fire ants killing off most of our native wild birds.

I can't tell you anything about hunting places in that part of the state, I'm only very familiar with the southwestern part. I know that there are birds, but where and how many is going to be the question.
