I'm going to Guntersville and i need to know the best place around, south sautys runnin slim right now

I dont hunt guntersville, but good luck gettin someone to tell you the best spot around. Seem like people on here have had bad experiances telling someone where to hunt.

Yeah, cyber scouting is looked down upon in most forums due to everyone being able to read the post, next thing you know you have to go find a new spot because your old one has been shot up. You would have better luck trying to meet someone from around the area, get to know them and hunt with them. That or get in your boat and go scout the water.

I plan on hunting Saturday. My partner may not be able to go with me. I may be up for meeitng you. I plan on missing Saturday morning but hunting all afternoon until sundown.

Hey Red, if you want to shoot Canadas, check out 88.15678 East, 30.70608 North. I've even seen banded ones hanging out there. Not to mention, there is zero pressure at this spot.

:rofl: :rofl: that brings back some memories. one of my brothers and a couple of his friends got caught shooting squirrels in there with a sling shot a long time ago. i did about a year reserve duty there at the training center in the early 90s. you can actually see a good many wild birds in there at times. i remember most of them were bluebills and ringnecks. sling shot goose hunting.......the gears are starting to grind :biggrin:

A client of mine hunted there this weekend. They shot 25 ducks, mostly Gadwall, and said there were thousands of birds around...if you can believe that.
