Hunting Lakes or Rivers or...?

Postby redleg06 » Tue May 05, 2009 3:08 pm

Hey guys, Ive got some in laws that live in tuscaloosa and do some duck hunting and I want to be able to go with them when I come in town. I got a 18ft. prodrive boat and wondering how you guys usually do your public hunting. I dont need any specific spots or anything Im just talking about what kind of areas do you guys tend to hunt?

Around my neck of the woods we tend to hunt big resoviours and just find the back waters of these but my BIL over there says most of the ducks around there stay off the lakes and usually do the rivers. You guys mainly hunt rivers or do you try the lakes sometimes?

any tips welcome

A bit of everything, I've hunted the gulf, huge bays, rivers, lakes, creeks and occasionally walk into ponds on WMAs off the rivers.
