Went hunting today and did alright. Got to the boat ramp at around 9 with a outside temp of about 20 and clear. The low for the night was 14. It got up to a balmy 30 degrees or so during the day. Shooting time was at about 9ish and we made it across the bay and set up by 10. Fast and furious action brought common goldeneye, barrow's goldeneye, harlequin, scaup, common scoter and surf scoters for a grand total of 16 ducks and 3 boxes of shells for 2 people. Had some shots at some white wing scoters too, but holy heck, they are tough. The shots would cover them up and they kept flying. Wrapped things up around 2 and the photos tell the rest.
I'm the one with the messed up hair. I forgot to pack a mirror for my photo shoot.
