Which one would you be referring to??? I can think of about 10 different fishing contests that go one during the summer and I'm sure there are more.

300 boats is probably the Seward Silver Salmon derby. That one doesn't start until late summer when the silvers are running into Seward. There are several Halibut derbys, and then a couple of King Salmon derbys in the spring. I'm not sure if they are still doing the Ship Creek Derby again this year or not. I know they had trouble finding someone to run it last year. I spend a whole lot of time fishing in the summer and not much time paying attention to the derbys.

man stouff what do you do during the summer months I fish all the time. man
we even go Ice fishing as soon as deer seasons over. we have one derby here in Juneau about 300-400 boats they change the school dates so kidss don't have to miss school and compete. its a pretty good derby all the money goes twoard scholorships.
thanks to the men and woman of the United States Coast Guard- without them I would not be here.

How much more RedneK can you get than snaggin' reds or silvers?? Nothing says RedneK quite like having 3" weighted treble hooks sailing through the air all around you, well maybe TnT but you'll get in a little trouble for that... :hammering:
