Postby akbrett » Fri Feb 17, 2006 12:48 am

It's springtime (sort of) and it's time to look at the different classes that ADF&G are putting on throughout the year. A lot of these classes are limited in size, so you need to register early. I'm just going to put a copy of a link to each of the different schedules if you are interested.

BASIC HUNTER ED. - this is one we ALL need if you haven't taken it before you should and if it's been a while a refresher wouldn't hurt. ... 0education

BOWHUNTER ED. - If you want to use your bow to hunt during a weapons restricted season or area then you need an IBEP number. ... =bowhunter

MUZZLELOADER ED. -If you want to hunt with your muzzleloader in a weapons restricted area or season then you need to take this course. ... zzleloader

Hunter Interest Clinics - These are various clinics that ADF&G puts on some of the clinics that are being offered in Anchorage this year are:
Reloading (this weekend Feb. 18)
Bear Baiting -I believe you need to take this clinic if you want to bait black bears.
Map and Compass
Sight-in Days
and Waterfowl Hunting
the schedule for these clinics is located at: ... t_calendar

Thats a good reminder... VERY important if anyone plans to have someone <18 w/ them. They NEED that card if they wanna hunt in most places
