Postby AlaskaRedneK » Mon Mar 27, 2006 10:16 pm

Ok guys.

How many of you think you can make it to the show?

What day would be best for you all?

I REALLY would love for a bunch of us to meet up :salude:

-------------------------

As for me... Friday evening or Sat would probably be the best... but Im flexible

Sunday Morning for Me

Postby AK Ray » Tue Mar 28, 2006 11:30 am

I will be helping a friend build a boat in Wasilla this w/e and the w/e of the show on saturday only. That leaves sunday morning open for my kid and I. She'll skip swimming lessons to go try for a trout in the pond. We have a birthday date later on sunday afternoon so we can't spend all day at the show. I do need to stop by the North Country Outfitters table and introduce myself to Adam Reid from the "Refuge" state forum.

If the show is anything like the last few there will be a bunch of boats lined up outside with a long port-a-tent between them. The tent is usually open before the show and acts as a weather shelter for those early risers if it is a "typical" spring day.

We could pick the biggest boat as a meeting point outside. Or the airboat. there always is an airboat between Boeke and the Sully.

Inside could get dicy for a meeting place because there are too many distractions. Once inside you get pulled one way or another and time gets lost.

I'm going down Friday morning to catch a few seminars, staying friday night and going back to the show saturday. Look forward to meeting you guys. If you want to meet Sunday, I'll stay Sat night and meet you outside by the boats Sunday morning then shoot back to Sunshine. What time, and what boat?

Meeting spots?

Postby AK Ray » Mon Apr 03, 2006 10:35 am

Well, the sunday ADN had the insert for the show, but no map this year. I guess they needed the room for advertizers.

I am still open for just sunday morning with my daughter. Either day it is only for a few hours. Friday is not a good day for your first time since it is only open for a few hours after quitting time.

My kid and I will be at the north end of the outside tent about 20-30 minutes before opening time on sunday (10am). The parking lot will be nearly full by this time, but you can still get a spot near the Boeke rather than all the way in the back someplace.

Fees are up this year $10 adults, $2 for 12 and under, and $5 for parking.

I'm going to be there on both Saturday and on Sunday to catch a couple different presentations, so maybe I'll be able to hook up with both groups.

AlaskaRedneK, Otterbfishin & LArednek when you figure out a time that you are going to try and meet on Saturday let me know.

AKRay, I'll try and meet you at the tent on Sunday morning (Assuming the wife and boy don't significantly alter my plans between now and then)

I'll be there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings to catch a bunch of seminars. Hopefully I'll meet all of you. Lets meet where Ray suggested ...at the north end of the outside tent about 20 to 30 minutes before the opening... So for Friday, that would be around 12:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday around 9:30 Am. Use the cell phohe number in the sticky if necessary.
I'll bring the drawings of my new duck sneak boat "Teal".
