Anyone? spent some time on the susitna flats last fall and was wondering if anyone else hunts geese out there.

Got lucky and called in a flock a couple years back and we took four out of it but other than that its all the luck of the draw. Either they are there or there not. Scout scout scout. We took ours from the hayflats.

Best Place I found thats close to Anchorage is Whitter.... However you need a boat to get to them....

Ive seen them out there bear hunting / shrimping / fishing but I've never been out there during the fall. My boat aint really set up for that kind of run (flat bottom with a surface drive). I'd have to use my pops boat and I dont like taking it out because it uses too much damn gas...
