We need to get this Alaska forum going.... Let's share pics from this season! Anybody have anything unusual happen or a new experience? Share! Post your kill pics or any other pics from this year or years past and maybe we can get the Alaska thread a little bit revived...

This is why I never go sea duck hunting without my rifle. It might turn into a combo trip. This year we pulled two bears while hunting sea ducks. Image

I've seen a lot neat pictures of dead critters on this site, but that might take the cake.

Definitely one of the coolest pics on the site. I've hunted each of this on kodiak but it never even crossed my mind to put them in one hunt :clapping:

I live in Arkansas. I was mostly dreaming when I asked to join you. I've made it to Alaska a couple times, but it'll probably be a while before I get to come again. It would be an awesome hunt though; to get a harli and bear on the same hunt!

I would love to go to Arkansas and hunt flooded timber for mallards some day. I would love to watch the ducks pour in through the trees.

I love Alaska, harlies, goldeneye, buffle head, scooters, and bears all in the same day. And depending on where I go I can also drop shrimp pots, and shoot deer. The other area I hunt I can drop crab pots for snow crab.
Alright now I am ready for fall to get here......

That's a dream setup! If only I could convince my wife to move. I came to Anchorage last year. Went fishing with a friend of a friend out of Whittier. We put out some shrimp pots too. Caught halibut, yellow eye, quilback, and a mess of shrimp. It was one if the best days in my recent memory! I'm going to keep the dream alive of coming out there to hunt with you. Sounds like it would be memories to last a lifetime!

You make it back here and we will go hunting. I am only about 3 hours from Anchorage and sea ducks are good after October. Harlequin are easy if you want one of those. I also have a boat that can be stayed on for several days so it could be a multi day trip. Can't guarantee a bear but could almost guarantee seeing one. I work a week on and week off schedule so my weeks home are pretty open.
