Reminder about School Parking lots in AK

Postby AK Ray » Tue Sep 26, 2006 2:40 pm

Location: Delta Junction
Case number: 06-80510
Type: Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Fourth Degree
Text: On 9-7-06 The principal of Delta Elementary School observed that a
pick up truck had been left in the parking lot of the school by a person
who rode away in another vehicle. The principal saw a compound bow and
hunting arrows in plain view in the back seat of the truck. Troopers
contacted the owner of the truck, Raymond Johnson, age 41 of North
Pole. Johnson had left the truck at the school while he tended to
business in the Delta area. Troopers issued Johnson a summons charging
him with Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Fourth Degree for
possessing a deadly weapon on school grounds. The bow and arrows were
also seized.

damn that sucks. I feel sorry for that guy. just park your truck and then you loose your bow. I find it kinda weird though we had bows and arrows in school all the time and never got in trouble.
thanks to the men and woman of the United States Coast Guard- without them I would not be here.

These current times are not the times some of us experienced as children. These days one student might sieze the opportunity to take deadly revenge on others. Providing that students with the opportunity for a weapon on school property for this crime, is a crime. I know it's a sad state of our civilization, but this is how it is these days. We need to pay attention to where we are and what we've got in our truck. Thanks God for duck hunting to take us away from the morning news report.
