Subject: Knik River Public Use Area Management Plan - Preliminary Alternatives and Management Actions Meetings
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land & Water will hold Public Meetings in Butte, Wasilla and Anchorage. The purpose of these meetings will be to present information on preliminary alternatives and management actions for the Knik River Public Use Area. A 30 day public comment period will follow the meetings. The public is encouraged to review and comment on the preliminary alternatives and management actions. Public comment must be received by 5:00pm AST, Friday, May 4, 2007.
The dates, locations, and times of the open house meetings are:
• April 2nd Anchorage Wendler Middle School 6-8pm • April 3rd Wasilla Teeland Middle School 6-8pm • April 4th Palmer Butte Elementary School 6-8pm

This site provides up to date information on the planning process and management of the Knik River Public Use Area.
