I'm getting itchy. I'll be scouting again tomorrow. If anyone sees a White dodge ram pulling a duck skiff on the rim say hi.

just a couple more days. Can't wait.
Have you ever woke up one day and said. Damn when does the season start.

I've been up on anderson mesa hunting elk the last two weeks. Seen some ducks. I have a feeling I know where I'll be on Saturday. Unfortunately I cant hunt on Friday. Well maybe.

How did you guys do. I had a Hen mallard, 3 green wing and a blue wing, I am leaning towards it being a hen cinnie. But find it hard to tell the difference.

I had a poor early hunt, moved and we had 7 ducks between the 2 of us in about 2.5 hours.

Hope you guys did well.

I managed two cinnies (1 drake/1 hen) and a greenwing drake. Blue-wing hens and cinnie hens are completely indistinguishable in the field or anywhere for that matter unless you are a geneticist. Or if you see her with a drake.

I got checked by a usfws agent while I was out there. He said that there really is no way to tell. They taste the same so I figure it makes no difference.
