I have read alot about this area on the colorado river and had a few questions about hunting it? I have a 14 foot johnboat but was wondering if you need a motor? Also how is the hunting pressure as I assume it is better to go during the wek? Is it best to go and scout before the season starts? Thanks for any info as I am new to arizona but would love to continue duck

you should be ok without a motor as long as you head on up to catfish paradise or north dike there is also south dike but you need a dog there not very many mallards populate that area but pintail and gadwall are pretty popular i reccomend just huddle up against the flight path and call them in and set out any decoys you may have on a normal day you should get your limit
