Hey guys, I was just kinda putting the feelers out to see if AZ has a state specific waterfowl association like California does? If it does not would anyone be interested in joining or starting something like that? I was thinking small scale, just a group of guys who maybe volunteer for some habitat work, litter clean up. That kinda deal. Let me know what you guys think?

Big negative on that, I am originally form the great pacific NW. Poldeau are definitely not considered ducks where I am from, in fact I never saw one until I moved down here. As far a city park ponds being duck clubs I personally have hunted at 2 of them within the state. If you are having such a hard time finding the Ducks in AZ then PM me and I can give you the phone numbers of either of the club owners, Sorry you have a hard time finding birds. Maybe they could put you onto some.

I never said I don't kill ducks. You imagined that yourself. I killed 96 ducks last year, a much better average than that so called duck club had last year. What I am saying is there is no room for associations as you mentioned. Then again you have never seen a Poldeau in the northwest.... Thanks but I don't need help . I think it's funny that you guys think this is real duck hunting.

Bravo to you good sir, your numbers speak for themselves. How you managed to scratch out 96 ducks in a state that apparently lacks ducks is amazing. Clearly you are a superior sportsman to have the ability to fabricate waterfowl out of thin air. Truly impressive. You seem to have first hand knowledge of the clubs I am speaking of as well and are privy to the number of waterfowl they have taken in previous years. Just curious what are these numbers? and what are the clubs you speak of? Maybe they are different from the ones I have had the pleasure to be associated with.

Listen DB, I never asked to be bashed on. as mentioned above I was just putting the feelers out. I admit I am a waterfowl junkie, I volunteer, I watch birds when its not season, I love everything about the sport. I am not looking to create the next DU. However if there was enough interest form a group of people who wanted to hang out, talk waterfowl hunting, and possibly volunteer a little time to clean up public land, and maybe host a youth hunt or two that would make my day. seeing as you are the only one who took the time to respond to a thread over a month old I get the picture that the interest is not there. Arizona is no Oregon as far as bird hunting that goes without saying but there are upsides. As opposed to being overcrowded on public land there is plenty of elbow room which is worth its weight in gold to me. I have never been set up on top of and am always happy to meet other hunters. If I ever do get a waterfowl association going here your participation is not required thanks for your input though.

Really?...
I see what's going on here, I was under the impression that I was in a heated forum debate on the merits of a waterfowl association in the State of Arizona. Little did I know I am actually having a name calling contest with a 12 year old boy. and not the brightest one at that. Shame on me  . Listen up kiddo, be careful playing around on the web especially in a forum like this. There are a lot of jerks out there who might hurt your feelings with charismatic retorts to your crappy attitude. Also make sure you check with your folks before going on their laptop and surfing the web. Best of luck to ya squirt and good luck this season. :welcome:
