Well how did it go today boys?

Postby bigrobbierob » Fri Oct 04, 2013 10:08 am

I wish I was posting pics of my harvest and not posting up a question. Govt shutdown got my leave cancelled cause we are essential services.

So how did it go today?

I'm stuck at work too. I had some buddies tell me that it was hard to call in the ducks through all the sky busters. Super crowded...

If ya can't see their eyes they are too far to shoot at! :)

Yeah let's just say I'm not happy about my long weekend of duck hunting getting cancelled.

Talked to my Cousin who went to Pintail this morning. He said he was first in the parking lot but because my Uncle wanted to just sleep and complain about it being cold and early they were the last to get on the marsh. He said there were between 15-20 guys on the main body alone.

And he came home empty handed. Said my Uncle totally killed the hunt. With this being my Cousins first Duck hunt he was pissed. Came right home.

He also said that a bunch of guys out there should have sought out shooting instruction before going.

Felt bad for him since I couldn't go and show him the ropes a little.

I'm gonna try and head to Flagstaff on my normal day off Monday.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel plans because of the dysfunctional hot air windbags we have running this country into the ground Bigrob. I thought I was the only guy who didn't make it out for the opener. Stuck at work like a lot of you fellas. Hope to make it up north on sunday but working for a farm you never know... Good luck guys whenever you do get out, And post up some pics!
