Buffs.... smackem hard and yet they dive and dive and dive!!!! sometimes its like they are diving the shot almost

Yeah for us, bufflehead seem almost impossible to kill if they just got off the water. Not necissarily because they're hard to hit, but even if you do they still go flying off.

3" #2s does the trick, on them Buffleheads We have a saying "two birds in, no birds out" that go's for however many come in from 1 - 6. :laughing:

Personally i would have to say bluebills first then buffleheads both are very fast but bluebills are the most shifty

Seems to me that blue bills just know how to skirt your spread at such a speed and precision to make you shoot at them and give yourself away, but yet never get a REAL chance to get one of them. They are AWSOME at staying right at range. I would never be able to move that fast, I would be havin fun then SMACK! right into a tree.

buffleheads for sure i shot at one time thought i missed he just flew about a hundred yards and died well worth it though pretty bird
