Layout boat help

Postby Blocko » Tue Dec 13, 2005 11:47 pm

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger and buy a new layout boat. I have narrowed it down to the UFO and mighty layout supermag. I haven't had the chance to hunt out of both or sit in either one so your imput would be helpful. I'm 6'4" and about 310lbs. They both look like they can handle my size and the body of water I hunt(mighty Mississippi) Cost wise, after e-mailing both owners it looks like the UFO would be less by $350. I have read alot of what you guys have said in the past, but the UFO are so new there isn't alot posted on them. Thanks for your input!

If you don't have the time and facilities ,I recommend the mighty layout boys,if you would like to build your own you can get a set of plans out of amherst ohio from paul busick, you can make changes to the boats design for your size and paul will be happy to help you out in any design changes. If you want any contact info p.m. me he also builds them to order.
keep yur feet dry
