Headed to Western NY to hunt with my good friend Rich Kolmetz on the big lake. Thursday we had an outstanding day passing up many birds and collecting 6 Scoter, 5 Whistlers, a Buffy and a goose. We were where they wanted to be so we tried to pick males and let many Oldsqaw and other birds pass over and land in the decoys. The wind and number of birds dropped on Friday but we still managed to bag 8 Oldsqaw, a Broadbill and a Scoter. A great way to end a less than stellar season.

That is a nice bunch of birds there. If you dont mind me asking... what are you going to do with the tails on the oldsquaw? I use them in my fly tying, and am always looking for them. I would happily pay postage to get them here is possible, if it is not too late that is.
Many thanks in advance
