Little Washington Diver Action

Limits of scaup for my buddy and I. Good fun hunt, we're pretty new to the whole diver hunting thing but I have to say it beats puddle duck hunting!

Looks like a great day. I love diver hunting. I haven't been able to get a bluebill yet this year, just mostly goldeneyes.Congrats

We could have shot a few goldeneye and bufflehead but I won't shoot them unless its a very slow day. We were hoping for more redheads but they seemed to have moved out. Saw lots of cans, just didn't any come by while we were set up.

 Nice!!! Only wish yall on the west coast would send some birds east!!! Still pretty dismal out east. Thought we had some birds cornered after a scouting trip on the Potomac... Set up where they were the day before then watched from 150 yards away as ablut 800 bluebills and 75 cans go in and go to sleep! Managed only 1 ruddy duck on steroids. Hoping this midwest weather stirs something up quick!

I used to hunt the divers a lot more when they had real limits on them. I packed away a lot of the diver stuff, but have been slowly pulling it back out for a few hunts here and there. We used to shoot a lot of them back in the day.

Yeah i wish you could shoot 7 scaup because there is a ton of them around right now. Have to find other ducks to make your limit, but I don't mind shooting those nice wigeon drakes.

As far as Divers go all we used to shoot was Redheads and Cans .
Never even pulled the trigger on Buffs and GoldenEye times have changed.
