In the top pic, the far left looks like a redhead hen. Similar a ringneck, but the slender head and the size of the bird makes it look like a redhead. Hard to tell though. Def not a blue Bill.

The one on the right in the bottom pic is 100% a blue Bill hen. Not the same bird.

Ok bud. The pics are not the greatest. I'll take your word for it. Def looks like a blue Bill in the pic though.

Hen redheads. Bluebills would be the most obvious to tell from the three as they have a snow white spot on their cheek and the ringnecks would be the size of the drake ringer you have. Definitely redheads.

Redheads. Not even close to Dogris(scaup) hen.

Ring neck hens. Look at the bills. They have the ring that makes ring necks easy to identify. They should be called "ring billed" ducks instead of ring neck.

We call them ringbills around here-ringnecks are pheasants.

I thought ringnecks got their name because of the brownish/purplish colored ring around the drakes neck not the white stripe on the bill.

http://www.ducks.org/hunting/waterfowl- ... ecked-duck

The "ringneck" name is derived from a faint brownish ring around the base of the neck, which is visible only upon close inspection. The legs and feet are gray-blue and the iris is yellow. Ring-necked ducks are silent except in display, when a low whistling note is uttered. Female ring-necked ducks have a brown head with a black crown, light brown cheeks and chin and a white eye ring. A narrow white line extends from the eye to the back of the head. The bill is slate with a faint white band near the tip. The neck, back, sides and flanks are brown and the belly is white. The legs and feet are gray-blue and the iris is brown. Female vocalizes a soft, rolling "trrr."

Duckin, no doubt true but we still call them ringbills up here-they are fun as are "bills"=bluebills. Cans and reds and butterballs are also fun divers to hunt. Ringnecks are pheasants/roosters/cacklers/ditch chickens, etc.

full ofshit, a hen redhead and hen ringer id'ed on the wing early in the season. I have had biologists struggle with these two in hand
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
Trash it, change it, mail - upgrade it,
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it,
Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it,
Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it,
Plug it, play it, burn it
