If a waterfowl bio cant tell a ringer from a redhead in hand he should be fired.

I guess, but even so a redhead is quite a bit bigger with an obviously bigger head.

The only way to consistently tell the difference between a redhead hen and a ring-neck hen are to look at the tertiary feathers on the wing. I tried to find some good pictures but struggled. Shot a few hybrids but I new what they were when I pulled the trigger :hi:
