Ok so when you say that they are "burlapped" I assume that you are covering them in burlap for texture and painting over it? Can you explain this process a little more?
Yes the burlapp give them more texture it also makes them rock solid. I put the burlap over them and coat them with a tile adhesive. Once its dry I comb lines into the back with gesso to give them more texture and to add vermiculations easier. Then they get painted and sealed with a sealant. Once thats done we attatch the keels and head.
