It's a cayuga
Every day I try to be the person my dog thinks I am. If I have accomplished this when my time comes, I feel I will have had a pretty good life.

I was going to say Cayuga also, but they don't look proportionate to any Cayugas I've ever seen. Colors match up pretty good except for the chest area for me.

Just looks like molt plumage to me. Think mallard drakes early in the season

 With a black bill?

I think it is definitely some part drake mallard, but which part is the question.... some mallard hybrid of some kind. I actually shot one similar a couple years back with a dark body but had more of hen plummage, not as much green iridescent like this one. Had a dark bill and almost purple feet....

I think it is a cayuga in molt plumage. I was using the mallard as an analogy since most people have shot a drake mallard that wasn't fully plumed out and can understand what I'm talking about.
