I have several dozen bluebill and redhead decoys but I was wondering if I could mix in my ringneck decoys to increase the size of the spread. Will this make a difference in the birds coming into the deeks?

I mix sea ducks with my mallards in the lake.. The only thing that happens, is that more birds stop by to visit

Mix ringnecks in with bluebills and redheads? Without hesitation, I'd use em' all.

Do it. Ringnecks/bluebills will land with each other all the time.

Their divers, you can hunt them over goose decoys with goose calls. Not the smartest ducks in the air. Group of BB's came in on me this mornin shot 2, they circled around and flew over as i realoded and shot 2 more...

Mix em up. Divers dont care at all about what decoys you have. They are just looking for food in most cases. I have killed blue bills, readheads, and ring necks over everything from pentails to gwt decoys. More numbers, more visibility thats all that matters.
