Does anyone use just jugs( black or black and white jugs)on their longlines leading into their spread?

I used to if the water was rough or if the sun was really bright. On bright days and in rough water(almost white capping) the ducks sight isn't as good due glare on the water and waves. I have used 2 liter coke bottles painted black with a white ring around the midsection. Now I use a bunch of old mallard decoys that were faded or had chipped paint that I repainted.
