species specific vs numbers

Postby timbertime » Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:02 pm

I have been hunting divers for years, I have made transition from fresh to salt water. My question is will it be ok to use coots and ringers even though they are not common in salt water? I have three dozen blue bills three dozen cans and a dozen redheads and dozen bufflehead. I however have tons of coots and ringers, will it make a difference or is it more about visibility?

I throw everything and the kitchen sink in salt. We hunt the gulf coast and have everything in our spread. Reds, ringers, scaup, teal, coots. I see it as the more white the better

X 2 on the more white the better in a gulf coast spread. I use alot of pintail, teal, and all kinds of divers.
