Weather Vs eider hunting

Postby Fatback » Sat Feb 09, 2013 11:19 am

Well we pulled the cord on our eider hunt last night because of Strong winds (40 knots), Snow , -25 c temp.... and the conversation turned to if we did make it out (And didn't die in the process) how would the shooting be? Thoughts were the eiders would seek shelter in the leeward sides of bays, flock up and not move far from roost, not pick up on decoys / or decoy right in.... ? Whats your thoughts on eider movements (if any) during storms?
Saying things taste "gamey" is a sign of poor taste
