GHG Shoveler, are they worth keeping

Postby Murph » Mon Nov 06, 2006 8:54 pm

On the way to the southern tip of the eastern shore on the last sea duck hunt of the season last year we realized that one guy brought the wrong bag of deke's :pissed:

So we pulled off after realizing this and managed to find a place that carried some dekes though most of the inventory was gone except for a few boxes of shovelers. With nothing else to choose from they were the only ones with black and white on them and no real time or energy to go back to pick the bag up. We hunted tham and they did fine killed lots of scoters, buffleheads, a few brant etc over three days.

The question is, in your opinion are these worth hanging on to as is or should I repaint them in more of a generic scoter/coot scheme. I would hate to paint over them if you think they are fine to leave.

Any opinions?

Shoveler numbers are on the rise, it may not be a bad idea to hang on to em.
