Does anyone dip thier mainlines in paint to stiffen them up?

Paint = NO
Tar = Yes

Go to your local home improvement store and buy a gallon of roofing tar. Thin it out with mineral spirits and run the line through it. Leave it in the yard for a week or so to dry.

You can do a search here for tarring long lines and find plenty of other reading ;)
