Bella Gone Sea Duck'n

Harli Small - Rotated.jpg

Bella and I managed to slip in a couple of hours of sea duck hunting while hunting in Northern Washington with some buddies over the weekend. A 4 hour drive each way and some serious lack of sleep led to a bunch of widgeon in the blind, some Brant Geese seen with one stalked to easy kill range before letting it go ( season isn't open ), and a Harli and a Surf Scoter in hand. The trip was mainly focused on scouting for Brant and meeting up with a buddy to hunt. All in all it was a great weekend. We met up with a DHC member and hunted puddlers early and sea ducks later in the day. There were hundreds upon hundreds of birds in the area. We saw a few Old Squaw which gives me hope for collecting them later this year. Bella and I have plans to go back up in January to spend a week chasing Brant and Sea Ducks.

Wow, that's awesome! Nice birds. I've always wanted to try that after seeing some of those birds on the Oregon coast while over there fishing.....
