LAYOUT QUESTION---DISTANCE FROM LL DECOYS

All,

I am a coastal diver hunter from NC. Mainly Scaup, Bufflehead, Ruddy, and the occassional Red.

What distance do you put the layout from long line decoys? I tired an experiment this weekend and had interesting results.
