Does anyone have tips on hunting divers on a river ? I'm going to hunt the missippi river, and i was wondering how other people hunt a river, would like to hear anything you do specially when hunting a river.

Scout,scout,scout !!! :thumbsup: Typically you can traverse the river either by boat or vehicle scanning for rafted up divers.

Once that's been established ,it will depend on the pool your hunting on how you set-up from there. Good luck.

Scouting is the biggest key and with scouting you will find location.
Normally we find the rafts of birds and then find a place on an island that is closest to the channel. Most divers will fly the channel in search of other flocks. If you find an island that is in the route of the birds that sticks out towards the channel then you are golden.
We never hunt coves for divers. The only times we use the coves is for puddle ducks.
