HEY im new to all of this web stuff, but i was wondering if anyone knew if u could duck hunt lake conway.i have already gone to www.agfc.com but that didnt help me any sooo.. anyone know anything could u please contact me
You can actually hunt areas and creeks around the lake, but not the lake itself. If you hunted the lake itself, no wonder you were seeing tons of ducks, it's like their refuge from the hunters, LOL, it's illegal to hunt!
Best to check AGFC guidelines. That was back in 92 and I ain't really a true waterfowler yet anyway. I do know there are places there you can legally hunt and get to class on time. THanks.
On Lake Conway you can only hunt Pierce and Dix Creeks, not the actual lake itself. Both are in the Camp Robinson Wildlife Demonstration Area. Dix Creek has three different ramps but only one is paved. They can be difficult to find if you aren't familar with the area. Pierce Creek has one access of HWY 89. Its a paved ramp with a paved parking lot.
Doesn't matter which one you go to, they all fill up and its crowded. Its been hit or miss for ducks there and at Bell Slough. You either see them and have shots, or you don't see hardly anything.
Grassy Lake has been channelled.
