Hey guys just wonderin if any of you in nea have ever killed any cinnamon teal. If so when, early teal season or regular? I know they are rare here but id love to ad one to my collection. I know we have killed goldeneyes, ruddys, and a few other divers that are kind of rare to this area but never seen a cinny killed. Thanks for any input.
Killed a pair at daylight back in the early 90's. It was still pretty dark. Wrung their necks before I realized they weren't green wings. Broke my heart when I realized what I'd done. It was late December..
Have see two drakes killed over there since 1971. One pretty nice, one juvenile and mounted both for the guys that killed them. Oddly thei first one i ever killed was a prime bird in North Alabama back in the late 60's. Have killed a lot since then in West Texas, Mexico and Argentina. Pretty birds.
I believe they have removed them from the books now in Arkansas. My grandfather use to mention killing them in the 80s.
