Agfc reg question

Postby whisperin' duck » Mon Oct 15, 2012 5:23 pm

I've called the AGFC numerous times and got multiple different answers on this question. During deer season you are allowed only one doe with a firearm. If you kill a doe with a bow during a gun hunt does it count as your doe? I've been told yes, and no by the AGFC. They don't seem to have a clear answer. Ya'll?

I say no. here is an example of my reasoning.

More: Hunters using modern guns or muzzleloaders during these days may take only does and button bucks (both antlers shorter than 2 inches).
Bowhunters may take bucks or does, but must wear blaze orange.

It can also be read that if you take a doe during any gun season it is your only doe during a gun season. I realize that I can take another doe with a bow but I'm goin' after the triple trophy this year and if I shoot a doe with a bow during gun season it may screw me out of my back up doe with a gun.
