Please sign this petition to revert Halowell from a moist soil unit to the way it was managed before they made the changes. The ducks just do not use it like they have historically.

I was reading about it on that site last night. I guess I didn't read enough to fully understand it last night. I read the petition. 100,000 ducks? thats an awful big number. I think the game and fish and DU see it as successful to waterfowl in the general sense, and they will not change it.

Just curious as to why moist soil units are not that used down in Arkansas? Up here in Iowa and Missouri most soil managemnet areas are THE BEST places to attract and kill ducks. Heck he best place to hunt in iowa is mostly moist soil with flooded harvested and standing corn! just curious is all.

There is food all over the place in Arkansas. Halowell was traditionally roosting habitat with no snow geese. It is now a food plot with no cover that attracts snows.
