Timber in the Afternoon

Postby AGR655 » Fri Dec 07, 2012 8:01 pm

I have been hunting the Timber in the afternoons and not seeing nothing. At 11 it's almost like someone flips a switch. I know its early in the season but is that the norm in Arkansas. I have hunted Timber in the afternoon in Missouri and done okay but I've hunted 3 afternoons in Arkansas and have never even seen a duck after 11.

In my area and locations, It's timber in morning and fields in afternoon. Never had huge success in timber in the afternoon.
"Thomas Jefferson said I had a God-given right to pursue happiness. What makes me happy is to take a mallard's head smooth off at about 20 feet.

Unless you luck out and find a roost, best of luck in the timber in the evenings
