I've never been duck hunting but want to give it a shot. so could anyone give me a run down of gear ill need? also I'm at ATU in Russellville so if anyone wouldn't mind telling me a spot or two it would be much appreciated.

Basic list of gear.

1. Scatter Gun
2. Steel shot for your scatter gun
3. Wader's
4. Decoy's

Would be best teaming up with a experienced hunter for a year or two.. Not something your going to just learn over night.

One thing I have found that helps a beginner out the most, Though this may relate to the younger kids, But proper gear. This being the correct gear for the condition's, but as well as suitable gear such as wading paints and jacket, with pockets in good locations. Waders with Wading belt and floating gun case. Facemask and warm shooting gloves.

Word of advice. Get good stuff the first time. If your hooked you don't have to upgrade a bunch, and if its not for you good stuff that is taken Care of resells for nearly full value in most cases.

Greenster's got it right: same list every morning . . . .

Gun
Shells
Waders
License
Coat
Calls.

In the woods, you can even survive without dek's. that list, however, which is what I say to myself every morning on the way out of the house, will never change if you're duck hunting.
Smell that? Smells like sumthin died in here.
