I love Arkansas like a long lost brother. Forgive me Cannon. Been in situations down there, all alone, miles from nearest highway.
I display my pistol and it works. Not waving it or anything. Just laying on the deck of boat at camp in plain sight.
The law said I cant load it so I dont. Can I load up next time? I'd feel much safer.
An empty revolver only helps a little

I would load it anyway, displaying an empty one might attract some attention you cant handle. Rather be safe than legal.

If its concealed and you have a ccl you're good. If you have a ccl and carry open it is illegal. That's my understanding

The way I am understanding it is that you dont need any license to carry either openly or concealed in arkansas. I wonder if this is true for non residents as well.

I read the Act itself and I do not think that I would go around carrying my gat on my hip open carry style. You can make up your own mind, but I do not think that it would be looked upon with favor, you can make up your own mind.

Comes down to common sense. I wouldn't stroll into the courthouse sporting a .45. If you're at a convenience store in Toadsuck, on the other hand, nobody will bat an eye.

I personally dont feel like its a good idea to carry open at anytime in public unless you are wearing a sportcoat or something to help hide it. The less attention brought on you the better. But I do like to open carry when I am working around the farm or the ranch.

The law is redundant and confusing. It is not legal to carry a knife hidden in your boot. You can carry a loaded pistol if you have the permit. That is silly imo. The rules seem to change depending on situation and location. Really make you kinda want to go break something.
No straight answers. Too many ifs, buts, howevers, and depends...
Laws are spose to be easy to understand and follow.
Not sure so I will leave my pistol at home.
If I get killed in Arkansas they get to pay to clean up the mess. No worries.
