i was suprised at the number from CAL and Nova scotia. That's a couple thousand mile travel over lot's of MTN's and non ducky area's.

May have flown south and just taken a different route north in the spring as well.

I would assume those birds flew NE in the spring. Then the following year(s) they came south on the Mississippi flyway. Seeing how the Miss. flyway is a coma shape.

All the ducks ive killed in canada and not one was banded. Horrible luck i tell ya

As far as distance, we killed two specks last year that came from Prudhoe Bay, AK. It's not even on the map. I'm always amazed at the distance some birds travel.

LOL, those were banded about 40 yards from my room... It's -5 here right now, will be migrating on Tues....

Dave could you step out about 40yds and do a little swift kick in the ass to get them to moving? Byers I'm gonna need you to send me 12 mallards for the opener.

Oh they took off, from here, 2 months ago. You could drive a car over the lakes now. I think it's going to be a good year, right on time. But I always think it's going to be the best year ever. :thumbsup:
