Hot springs is horrible for ducks.. Keep posting in the Arkansas forum while not asking direct questions about a place, (People don't like that). just stick around and you will get an invite.

Nimrod WMA and Petit Jean WMA would be the nearest WMA's from hot water town. Never hunted petit jean, but nimrod can be good at times, considering they got water. Take in mind it's no where near as good hunting as eastern Ar. We're just in the wrong geographical location for good duck hunting.

I need to find a decent lease myself.

Just wanted to follow up on my previous post, didn't have a lot of time due to I was at work.

I'm just a little southeast of ya (malvern area). There is also some fair at best duck hunting on the area lakes, like Ouachita and Degray. It's public land, just beware of areas off limits such as near campgrounds, etc. You can get some decent shooting at times, although it is hit or miss. Not really enough food to hold them, but at least you can catch some "passing thru" ducks.

Hope this helps.

Petit Jean is dry as a bone most the time. so same at Nimrod. Full of acorns this year though...good rain and lots of cold weather and 2 groups may limit...(just too far outta the way)
