I'm not posting anymore pictures until someone else participates - you people are just slacking off this year!

stop killing so many ducks and maybe we could!

Here is my collection from the past few weeks. The holidays slowed me down a bit but we've pieced together a few good hunts lately. Hoping for a strong finish in January.

Cannon's in recovery mode, with bigger fish to fry. Pipes froze at the compound. What I know is that I don't currently have water. What I don't know is what's gonna happen when she thaws.

Not a good feeling. Went over to my buddies place this morning that has an older home with a crawlspace beneath. No water running now but I think when she thaws out he better be close the shut off valve. Not a fun experience, been there. Good luck Todd

Thanks, bro. I need it. I'm good inside the structure. She froze in ground from the main. I just hope that the frozen ground around the lines exerts sufficient pressure to keep the schedule 40 from expanding too much. Looks like I'll find out day after tomorrow.

Excellent - your hunts look like mine Gadwalls, maybe a wood duck, some mallards, sometimes teal.

OK - something has happened. Lot's of Mallards. I spent the afternoon watching tornadoes of ducks coming down in dry fields. They were just landing, walking & eating. Three different fields (that I was watching) with thousands of ducks on them. Another place with open water was just stuffed - not even going to guess how many. It was like black birds flying everywhere. Ice is about 2 inches thick. So good to see so many ducks - no doubt new ducks have arrived.

Yes, AR Dave i kill gadwalls, some days if i don't kill gadwalls i won't kill any ducks at all.
I kill about 50 % mallards, about 40% gadwalls ( average year).I hunt public, so I take what I can get, and I am thankful.
I'm on the west side of the state, so I hunt Oklahoma also. Scouted yesterday after the hunt, and found some mallards. They came in this morning in pairs, so found it hard to lay of the hens. The only group of four, had three hens.We will work harder on the green tomorrow.
I think we have new Ducks in the area also, going to stay after them while there here. They don't seem to hang around here very long.

Cannon, hope you're water situation worked out!
Give us an update sometime.

Can't wait to get off work and head west!!!!!!!!!! These pic make it sooooooo hard to work.
No word for my place today. Think it was raining/sheeting this morning, so they got lazy and stayed in.
Hump.

Cannon, hope the plastic stayed together. When it gets this cold, I always let the water run in everything that I can.
Even the pot, I adjust the float ball.

Alright finally raining hard here - taking the ice churning 700-4 down to the swamp to get a start on opening those holes. I'm ready for the action to crank up a couple of notches. :)

Had a great morning in the rice field. Broke a hole in the ice and ducks went crazy with very very little calling. Two guys, two limits by 8:45am. Great pictures guys and good luck this weekend!

Oh Boy - where we limited yesterday evening, we got skunked today. Hard rain flooded fields all over the place, ducks probably going to be spread out. Start over :lol3:

You have to keep the ducks on the left side of the picture or they get cut out.
