Sorry for the miss understanding. A massacre would have been welcome.

Edit original to clear it up.

Banded pintail and a blonde mallard the first week of the season. The duck gods are smiling on you. I shot a blonde spoony a couple years ago in oklahoma. Not as cool as a mallard, but nonetheless, its on my wall.

Opening day, 3 limits by 7am.

Cannon, Very cool bird. A guy in Maine that bought a pup from me killed a blond just like that, it's on his wall as it should be. I had a solid white bird land in the decoys in ND that I'm sure was a mallard. It landed with about 30 other mallards and we had already limited out so didn't get to see it closer than 20 ft..

Killed the biggest Gadwall I have seen to date. I killed a real nice one in La a couple yrs ago and it's on my wall now, this one is a beast. That's a 3.5 inch shell by it's head.

The FIL claimed he didn't shoot spoonies. We promptly broke him of that.

Went to Macks for the first time yesterday and pulled the trigger. Hunting Buddy was seriously concerned with getting it all in the plane. 54 inch Beaver Tail Sled, Drake Walk in Back Pack, Waders, Dozen Higdon Magnums, Case of Ammo, Chokes, 2 Head Mask, 2 Shotgun straps...... I was Silly Happy with the Back Pack this morning.

Have had some learning experiences the last couple of days. Thought I was going to be in a shootout my first day, the ice changed things. But one of our holes had a couple of hundred mallards come in mid morning, after ice melted, so the next day we got there just before midday. Mallards were still there until we arrived. LOL Worked out a little better this morning, except I kept forgetting to load my gun. Having fun! :grooving:
