Water Water

Postby Duckbud » Wed Oct 19, 2005 12:45 pm

Just wondering who out there is in a club & how your water is coming along. I'm also wondering how the water situation is at the Refs (both North Valley & Grasslands area). From what I'm hearing, it sounds like certain areas are going to be a little dryer for the first part of the season. Was also wondering if this is all due to the late rice harvest.
I love ducks - they're delicious!

The rice it our club is just now being cut.
It wont have water until late Nov. :pissed: :pissed:

Oh well Its the refuges and delta until then.
going up to sutter on Sat. with a resi.

I loaned a buddy my boat and sent him to my honey hole
for the opener. I've been doing some scouting and I'm not sure
who is getting the better hole

when he gets a resi I had better be #1 on his call list.

Natural club is ready to hunt but the rice blind is being mowed right now. Water should be going in by early next week. And the other property the pond is about half full. I can't wait till we get some rain for this place!

Wingnut, where do you launch for hunting the delta? I just got a new mud motor and i can finally cover some ground out there to scout. I am going to try scouting around twin cities first.

My hole's around the Willows area. Water's going in, but not sure how much. Hopefully enough to float the dekes. Our property owner says it's tough to get all the water right now.

Curious what blind(s) your hopin' for for the opener? I always liked the heavy tule ponds just east of George's bridge.

Can't wait to meet her! Did you get the really great birth announcement that looks like a band report card?

I talked to him the other day, he sure seems to be a happy new dad!
