I have hunted gray lodge a bunch of times and though its not what it used to be, it still can produce birds. Yes it is all freerome. The one nice thing about the place is you can always get on except for this saturday unless you are waiting right now.
I i didnt get drawn for sunday I would hunt GL on sunday. go there around lunch time and get a number.

Downsides- the place is huge! alot of the good areas can be crowded.

but its a nice place to hunt. I will pm you will some details to get you started.

I used to hunt there a lot
I liked the west side out of parking lot 7 west side of closed zone.
havent been out there in 4 or 5 years.
Like Ryan said its a BIG place and easy to get on.
but any refuge that holds 400 hunters at a time will be.

careful lots of yahoos

I've had a few not so good experiences so I quit going there.
but I'v had some good hunts there too
good luck and let us know how you do.

theres no water at g.l. right now. the rice is really late and so is the water. there are really no ducks here yet either.

it can be a good hunt but i would wait till after dec 1 unless we get some really bad weather systems moving through the pacific flyway in the next few weeks.

since it will be 80 degrees, sunny and clam on sat and sunday i am not holding my breath!
