waters on the way

Postby #1wingnut » Fri Oct 28, 2005 9:52 pm

Just got an e-mail from my blind partner.
he told me water will start monday

My blind is out by Riego Rd. Does anyone here shoot out there?
or has anyone?

I think I'll take the day off from ducks tomorrow and go up to Angles
and chase some Quail around.
I know its only been a week but my good hole has been hit twice.
and I dont have a resi anywhere.(gota let that hole rest a while)
Beside I talked to my buddy up there and he has a bunch of birds on his property. he also has horse's so the walking is really minimal.
and mayby I can jump some ducks off the ponds.

Dan, a little off subject...

Wandered by there via 99 for the first time in 5 years on the opener headin' north.

REAL ugly up there now with the urban sprawl around Del Paso Rd and the airport. I'm kinda' wonderin how long that whole area is gonna last as far as not being paved under. Pretty shocking for me at least.

Any word on that good or bad?

Russel,
Ya, I know exactly what you mean. Two years ago I did the fire protection in the new natomas high school and you could see it from highway 5
its almost 1 mile down del paso from 5. now its built out to both 5
and 80 going north.
It won't be much longer and that will be all built up. this is my first year out at that tank. I'll be lucky if its not my last.

Me and the boy went up the hill to angels camp to do a little
quail huntin this am.
knocked a couple down in the berry's and had a heck of a time gettin'm
out.
also jump'd a few woody's off a pond, and we got to bring one of them home for dinner

Batteries were dead in the cam. so I did'nt get any pick's of these

i drive by that way on my way home every day. the last few years have been pretty poor in that area.

used to be pretty good before the urban sprawl as was noted.

hope you fair better than most.
