i was out at the bilnd just south of the sutter refuge sat morning and at least 6-7000 snows got up south of 113 just about 8 am and flew up the baypass toward the refuge.
the wind was coming out of the north and it was blowing about 40-50 up where they were as it was stopping them cold in flight. i just stood up and watched them as the ducks were no where to be seen.
it was cool watching them hover over your head and giving it all they had to make a few feet per minute.
took that flock close to half and hour to go over there were so many.
i'd say there are a few there.
up in that area we have quite a few swans. haven't taken their pic this year but they are back in the same place.
this is one from last year.
