Good To Be Home

Got back from AR late last night. Did the 2 hours sleep thing and hit it this AM. For some reason our birds look better LOL!

We had a super time while there though the kid didn't shake out too well in The World Intermediates. Pulled a 9 spot, just plain got out-called, said he knew he was toast at the end of the first round. No mistakes and on his "A" Game and barely etched out a 2nd round. Those young men are awsome as were the adult callers in the World and The Champion of Champions.

The hunting was hit and miss. They are low on rainfall and in the makings of drought, so where there's water there's a few birds. Some of the CA bunch hunted Longnecks in MO before heading down to AR. Said it looked like the NE desert..

Got to do a timber hunt in the famous RNT hole where they've shot a lot of footage over the years. Pretty neat. That Jim Ronquest is one tough SOB. If you ever book a hunt back there I'd definitly consider him and RNT.

Got to see many old friends and met a lot of folks with duck passion from all over the Continent.

Spent Sunday evening watching the tornado line working it's way in our direction. It worked it's way north of us. Just got strong gusts.

Man that Peat Bog smelled good this morning! It's great to be back.
