Lol. That's the lamest thing I've seen in a long time. And I don't mean to diminish the effort put into it because doing video isn't as easy as people might think it is.

More to the point. The subject matter and the way it's positioned looks to create drama where there really isn't a whole lot of it...
Check out the description of the show from the web site below. I say A for effort -- but otherwise it's not so bueno.

------------------------

Thousands of classic duck stories have been told through the eras, but one still has yet to be heard.

In 1987 over 100 cars arrived three days early for opening day. Out of the 400 hunters allowed into Gray Lodge 330 were let in. Those numbers were posted 20 years ago.

Refuges today are very competitive. The refuge hunter has developed a unique reputation. Since the draw, lottery and sweat line process was created, a new attitude has emerged in hunters.

Join us as we uncover the truth about Northern California refuge hunting. This reality based television program is viewed through the eyes of true Refuge Rats. Whether you hunt private land or scurry about from refuge to refuge, you wont want to miss season one of the new series - REFUGE WARS.

a little excessive but still a cool video none the less. Got me amped about this season but also reminded me of calling competitions, callers who call call call call call non stop and that naturally led to thinking of the skybusters... sill excited though!

I'll definitely be watching it. I hope there is more killing ducks though than the yelling at people 60 yards away. Seems like a good idea. Then ending of that preview gets me amped for season.

Great..now people don't even have to go to refuges anymore to find the good spots or internet scout. They can just turn on their tv! You thought photos in the parking lot gave away good hunting spots on refuges, this is gonna show exactly how to get there!

If the shows producers know what's good, they won't be going to show exactly how to get to certain places.....Who would watch a show where it is 30-40 minutes of someone walking out of a parking lot?..... If they use maps and show where the hunters are on the map (sort of like deadliest catch) then that would be ridiculous and I hope its not like that.

the ending definitely gets you going though.

This program is going to to show both sides of refuge hunting. Its going to follow new guys to the old vets of refuges. Hopefully the guys that give refuges a bad name will be watching and pick up some good habits. We will not be showing spots or how to hunt refuges. This program is going to show a non private side to hunting. We are currently working on sponsorships to air the show. We are also trying to find a good group of refuge rats to hunt with. Thats a casting call!!! is anyone intrested?

There is more to duck hunting than location folks..
Only one way to get there, it's in the middle of no where, you gotta get a little mud on the tires.

Correction! Used to have to get a litlle mud on the tires!

Look what happened to crab fishing in the Bearing sea after the Deadliest Catch!

This show will ruin Duck Hunting in California FOREVER! It must be stopped at all cost!

This thread makes me sick to my stomach. These guys are exploiting the public hunting system and I won't have any f#$%ing part of it. for one the show is called "refuge wars" and they are expecting to catch drama where there's really not that much drama. I would say 80 percent of hunters do the right thing. I watched the promo and it looked stupid. One guy had more gel in his hair than any man should have with a gay ass puca shell neclace. They other young greenhorn was talking trash about refuge hunters and that last guy was talking like he doesn't want to deal with the refuge..... well, why do the show? I for one will not be watching this turd of a show. It would be one thing if they called the show rufuge hunting or something like that.. but when you call it refuge wars you're inciting people to act like #!@holes. I give it one year on air.... tops..... Sprigpig out. :fingerhead:
